A Dance Down Memory Lane

This weekend is my daughter's dance recital.

She has danced for most of her life . . . beginning at age 3, taking a short hiatus to try out theater around 8 or 9, and then returning with a serious passion 3 years ago.

I had to get out some older albums the other day and I somehow flipped right to a dance page.  It brought back so many memories of my little ballerina . . .  I ended up getting out more albums to find dance pages.

The early years

She was always very focused and intent on getting every step just right.

1st ballet recital on a real stage!!!!!
(Pardon the horrible scanning!  I got lazy and did it the fast way - clearly not the right way!)

She is so excited to get on that stage this weekend!

I don't know how she is going to sleep!

When she is up there dancing, her eyes sparkle with magic!

She smiles so big because she is having a blast and it is absolutely contagious!

This was the year she got really serious and realized she loves this!

She had her professional photos done today . . . (they'll be posted soon)

What a difference from the little ballerina from way back when to the teenager who knew exactly what poses she wanted the photographer to capture, how to smile, and even did all her own makeup!!!

Dress rehearsals this week.  I need to go back and edit the photos.

Just like my daughter, I don't know how I am going to sleep!

I cannot wait to watch her!!

Thanks for taking this trip down memory lane with me!
